Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information I (Chris Tomshack) collect through christomshack.io, why, and what you can do about it. It’s written in plain language on purpose.

christomshack.io is run by First Phase LLC (dba FORCOM Studios).

What I collect

• Your email address, when you join the newsletter, download a free guide, or join a waitlist. I also note what you signed up for (which guide or waitlist, and which page or social link you came from), so the emails you get match what you asked for.
• Your name, email, and message, when you use the contact form.
• Booking details, when you book a 1:1 call. Booking and payment happen on Cal.com, which handles your card. I never see or store card details.
• Tips,if you leave one on a guide’s thank-you page. Stripe handles the payment and your card; I see your email, the amount, and which guide it was for. If you’re already on my email list, you’re tagged as a supporter there. If you’re not, you aren’t added.
• Anonymous usage data: page views and which links and buttons get used, counted in aggregate with Plausible Analytics and Vercel Web Analytics. Both are cookie-free and don’t follow you across other sites.
• Your IP address, briefly. The host uses it to serve pages, and the signup and contact forms use it for a few minutes to stop abuse. I don’t store it or use it to identify you.

How I use it

• To send the guide or download you asked for.
• To send the newsletter (once a month), and an email when something you joined a waitlist for is ready. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
• To reply to your message.
• To run any call you book.
• To see, in aggregate, which pages are actually useful. Never to identify you.

Affiliate links

Some links, mostly on the gear pages and the links page, are affiliate or referral links. If you buy through one, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.The store a link takes you to (Amazon or another brand) may set its own cookies to credit the referral; that’s covered by the store’s privacy policy, not this one. A discount code is only copied to your clipboard when you tap “Copy & shop”.

Who it’s shared with

I don’t sell your information. It’s shared only with the services that run the site:

• Kit (ConvertKit): the email list and newsletter delivery.
• Resend: delivers contact-form messages to me.
• Cal.com: booking and payment for 1:1 calls.
• Stripe: payment for optional tips on the guides.
• Plausible Analytics: cookie-free, aggregate analytics.
• Vercel: hosting, and cookie-free, aggregate web analytics.

Each has its own privacy policy for the data it handles on my behalf.

Your choices

Unsubscribe from any email with the link at the bottom of it, or by emailing me. You can ask to see or delete the information I have about you at any time: email chris@christomshack.io.

Cookies and local storage

This site doesn’t use tracking or advertising cookies. When you unlock a free guide, your browser remembers it in local storage, so the guide stays open when you come back. That stays on your device and isn’t sent anywhere.
